    • I have a Mira Vie shower 8.5 kw, power goes to the shower but there is no heat, I am thinking thermal cut out switch ?

    • My Mira go shower has been working perfectly since we had it installed but recently it has started to get really hot have descaled the shower head and checked the inlet filter it was better for a few days but now even with the heat control down to min. is it almost to hot to get in. could this be the thermal switch ? any help would be appreciated

      Have you tried turning the dial down to the first heat setting and starting the temperature dial at cold then turning round to hot? What sort of temperature do you get then?

    • Hi - we have a mira play shower and experiencing some problems. Shpwerbflows perfect but then loses heat intermittently. Sometimes during a shower but sometimes just does not get hot. Could this be the thermal cut out? Curve ball is the shower can start hot then go cold after a few minutes. Leave it for 30 minutes and it gets hot again.

      Hello, yes this is most likely to be a thermal switch, it could also be the pressure switch dropping out, you would have to re-create the fault, then test the thermal switch for continuity, open circuit = faulty. Job for an electrician.

      My mira play shower has just started to cut out half way through a shower all electrics are working fine I switch it off and leave for 10 mins and then it starts to work again. This doesn't happen every time it is intermittent.
      Any help would be great

      Hello, if it stops flowing you need a new solenoid, if it stops heating but stays flowing then it is probably the thermal cut out.
