Delivery Options

At National Shower Spares, we are able to offer a selection of delivery methods. Terms and conditions for each option may apply.

All delivery charges are shown and applied at the checkout and are for your whole order – we do not charge delivery per item.

* As you may be aware, workers for Royal Mail and Parcelforce are striking on various dates throughout December 2022. Whilst we will continue to operate and despatch orders as best we can, unfortunately we cannot provide exact delivery dates for orders placed on or around declared strike days. You can read more information online here.

* We are aware that there is currently heavy demand on the postal system (in particular Royal Mail and Parcelforce) due to the coronavirus pandemic. Our couriers are working hard to collect, process and deliver as many orders as possible in these difficult circumstances. Despite their best endeavours, some areas of the country may experience reduced service levels due to coronavirus-related absences. As a result, at this time, we are unable to advise or guarantee when orders will be delivered exactly. If you have any tracking enquiries, please call us on 01452 619836 and we will investigate the delivery for you, but please bear this in mind before contacting us. Thank you for your understanding.

* Please note that due to significantly higher demand on our delivery couriers, the times they collect from us now vary every day. As such, while we will continue to do our best to ensure all stocked orders placed before 3:30pm (Monday-Friday) are despatched on time (as per below), regrettably sometimes this may be on the next working day instead.


Despatching
Providing your part is in stock and your order is placed before 3:30pm Monday-Friday (excluding bank holidays), then it is our aim to ensure your order is despatched to you that same day.

Though we keep an extensive range and level of stock, sometimes deliveries (especially express) are subject to stock availability. To prevent disappointment, we advise that you phone to check stock availability before ordering if you urgently need an item.

We only process orders Monday-Friday as we are closed on weekends (and bank holidays). You can view our opening times here.

Should you place an order when we are closed, it will be processed when we re-open next. For instance, orders placed on a Saturday or Sunday will be processed and despatched on the Monday, ready for delivery from the Tuesday onwards.


Delivery
Sometimes deliveries can get delayed within the postal system. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you do not arrange a tradesman to fit any products until you have received them physically in your possession. We cannot be held responsible for any losses or issues caused by such delays that are outside of our control.

We only use Royal Mail and Parcelforce to deliver domestic UK items, so you can be sure who to expect when waiting for a delivery. The most common services we offer are listed below for your information.


Royal Mail
All standard UK parcels will be shipped via Royal Mail Tracked 48. Delivery times should be within 1-3 working days but may be longer, depending on your local area and other external factors, as this is not guaranteed timed service. Small items sent via this method will be packaged in a smaller bag designed to fit through your letterbox.

You may also upgrade to a faster variant, Royal Mail Tracked 24, which is the same as Tracked 48 but the delivery window should be within 1 working day where possible.

Other service upgrades (for even faster or guaranteed deliveries) may also be available – if your chosen products are eligible, this will be shown automatically at the checkout.

Royal Mail Special Delivery
Available on stocked items and UK orders only. For orders placed before 3:30pm Monday-Friday (excluding bank holidays and the Christmas/New Year period), delivery will be guaranteed by the next weekday before the time specified at the checkout. Deliveries will be made Monday-Friday (excluding bank holidays), but this will depend on Royal Mail. Orders placed on a Saturday or Sunday needing to be shipped via this method will be processed and despatched on a Monday for delivery on the Tuesday. This delivery method requires a signature, even for small items, so please ensure that you (or someone else) are available to receive and sign for the item at the expected delivery time. We cannot take any responsibility if you are not in to sign for your item and it subsequently gets delayed within the postal system. Note that under certain circumstances, the Royal Mail driver or postman may sign for your parcel on your behalf. This method is not suitable for some large items, such as complete showers; so for these, an alternative delivery option will be offered instead.

Parcelforce
Available for large / bulky / heavy items or orders with large quantities. For orders placed before 3pm Monday-Friday (excluding bank holidays and the Christmas/New Year period), delivery will either be next day or 2 days in some outlying areas. Deliveries will be made Monday-Friday (excluding bank holidays), but this will depend on Parcelforce, and delivery times may vary. Orders placed on a Saturday or Sunday to be shipped via this method will be processed and despatched on a Monday for delivery on the Tuesday (or Wednesday in remote cases). The checkout will also default to this method if you are ordering large quantities of items or if your order is over a certain value.


International
Unfortunately, we cannot ship to international destinations outside of the UK at this time. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.


Free Delivery Promotions
We occasionally offer free delivery promotions, which we run at our sole discretion.

"Free delivery" consists of standard UK delivery services only. This doesn't include next day delivery or special delivery options, which are considered upgrades and are therefore always chargeable at their normal rates. Orders will be shipped by Royal Mail, Parcelforce, or DPD depending on the destination and item(s) ordered.

If there is a limit to qualify for free delivery, this will be on the Sub Total of your basket (the sum of the products only, less any discounts) – meaning any delivery charge under the limit will not also count towards the qualification. Please contact us if more information is required.
