    • After buying a replacement shower hose, I found that its tapered ends were smaller (about 0.5mm narrower) than those on the previous hose. This meant it didn't fit in the shower head holder correctly; the shower head could not be secured so it pointed in the right direction.
      This part fits the current size hose ends correctly and completely overcomes the problem of a loose shower head.
      The holder is secured with a single screw and a captive nut, so it is relatively straightforward to remove the old bracket and fit the new one. Just check that the two parts of the friction device are correctly aligned and fitted before finally tightening the screw to achieve the desired stiffness.
