• I recently fitted one of these as the Bristan one is no longer available. This one does the job great, so much so I have ordered another as a spare. Our shower is 26 years old and works like new. We are in an area of very hard water and it does them in. I did have a couple of problems, the shower control would let water escape where it meets the wall when the shower was on or off, so I switched off the mains , refitted it and tightened it and it did it again. Eventually I fitted a spare outer seal I had it has not happened since, and no one else has had this problem. Also the original E clip that holds the flow control on does not fit the new cartridge, it does need to be fitted. Luckily I had a thinner spare so I fitted that. It is a 10mm e clip 1.2mm thick, the Bristan one was 1.26mm thick! I did notice another reviewer mentioned that. They are very cheap on an online auction site!

• Product easy to fit and working well
Contact me in 30years and I’ll know if it’s as good as the one it replaced

  Ann Gray

• Good quality and fitted easily with easy to follow instructions.

  Emma Edwards

• Had the right part to repair a 22 year old shower valve and at a very good price. The delivery process went smoothly and the offending shower is now fixed.

  James

• A competitively priced well made product that fitted easily into the existing Briston Osbourne Thermostatic Mixer Shower (Surface Mounted).

  John Maton

• Good product, got some weight and quality. The web site specifications are a bit off. For example the retaining ring is listed as 75mm but is only 65mm. The new screws for the retainer were a fraction to long. The specification discrepancy made product selection slightly more difficult but it the right one for my shower and works perfectly

• I have owned a Bristan prism shower for 27 years now and changed a few of these carts using the Bristan Original replacement bought from Bristan or another shower spares supplier. The latest one I bought, from another supplier, even though it was a Bristan part had slight differences in the valve and would not work. I bought this copy from NSS and it works perfectly, my shower is like new, and it was a lot cheaper. I shall buy another soon to keep as a spare for use some time in the future. I live in a really chalky area and valves and taps quickly get ruined. Remember and buy some silicone grease to go with this!
  Thank you NSS!
