    • The product was a straight forward replacement for one that had broken. Fitting was easy, but this product has an inherent weakness. One of the three locating plastic lugs is made out of such an unnecessarily thin and weak piece of plastic that I suspect it will fail again in due course. Sadly, without all three lugs, the pressure seal is lost and the shower outlet will leak. I can only assume that Mira have updated this product on all their subsequent models. I hope so, as such a simple design fault lets down an otherwise reliant brand.

    • Does the threaded brass connector come out of this elbow? I have an old Mira elbow with just the female threaded connector still in place and I think I can just screw it into the white body of this part.

      Yes, the nipple will unscrew. When refitting make sure the joint is water tight, use PTFE tape or joint compound.
