Amid the very fast developing coronavirus situation, we would like to reassure you about the actions we are taking to enable our normal business activities to continue.
All departments are fully manned (including by remote home working), and our website remains available and operational for your convenience 24/7.
As confirmed by the Government on 25 March 2020, we contribute towards essential maintenance services to local authorities and hospitals, and have an important role to play in ensuring people can clean themselves effectively and hygienically. We also believe it is crucial that people retain access to working showers in their homes, along with hot and cold running water. In addition, we support the livelihoods of self-employed tradespeople (local and national), merchants, and of course our staff and their families.
Safety of course remains our highest priority. To make sure our colleagues and suppliers stay safe at our offices/warehouse, we are ensuring that cleaning and hygiene protocols are even more rigorous than usual.
All of our colleagues are following personal hygiene guidance and being asked to regularly wash their hands for a minimum of 20 seconds multiple times throughout the day. Alcohol-based hand sanitisers have been supplied throughout the building for staff to utilise frequently as needed.
We have also put new guidance in place regarding the use of shared areas (such as kitchens/canteens) to protect our staff. Social distancing measures (keeping at least 2 metres apart) are now strictly respected by all colleagues to ensure everyone remains as safe as possible. This applies both in our warehouse and offices, where we have rearranged the layout to spread our colleagues apart as much as possible.
We have stopped all face-to-face business meetings taking place until further notice. Instead, we are conducting these sessions using video-conferencing or phone calls where possible, or even postponing them completely if they are not critical.
Update (17 March 2020): Please note that our trade counter area is now closed to the general public, and we are not allowing any customers to visit our offices until further notice. This is simply a precaution and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. Ordering from our website is not affected.
Update (20 March 2020): In the best interests of our people, and as per Government guidelines, as many of our staff are now working from home where possible to do their jobs. The service you expect from us at National Shower Spares will not be impacted by these changes.
We are in constant dialogue with our suppliers and at the moment are not experiencing any supply concerns. We are still receiving deliveries from all our suppliers, so we aim to fulfil your orders as best we can.
Should the situation change and we experience any product supply disruptions, we will update this page and will place notices on individual product pages to highlight stock shortages.
We aim to maintain as many of our delivery services for as long as possible. We have contact daily from all of our carriers and we will update you here should there be any changes to our offering.
Any services requiring a signature may be signed for by the delivery driver to observe social distancing measures. Parcels may also be left in safe locations where possible, so please look out for delivery calling cards.
Update (18 March 2020): Royal Mail have advised us that they are currently unable to guarantee their Special Delivery service. We have therefore removed this particular delivery option for now. We will enable it again as soon as Royal Mail allow us to do so. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Update (19 March 2020): Due to some carrier restrictions with international services, we are currently only able to send orders to the UK and Republic of Ireland. We will look to offer international shipping again as soon as these services become available. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Update (3 April 2020): Please note that due to significantly higher demand on our delivery couriers, the times they collect from us now vary every day. As such, while we will continue to do our best to ensure all stocked orders placed before 3:30pm (Monday-Friday) are despatched on time, regrettably sometimes this may be on the next working day instead.
Update (9 April 2020): We are aware that there is currently heavy demand on the postal system (in particular Royal Mail and ParcelForce) due to the coronavirus pandemic. Our couriers are working hard to collect, process and deliver as many orders as possible in these difficult circumstances. Despite their best endeavours, some areas of the country may experience reduced service levels due to coronavirus-related absences. As a result, at this time, we are unable to advise or guarantee when orders will be delivered exactly. If you have any tracking enquiries, please call us on 01452 619836 and we will investigate the delivery for you, but please bear this in mind before contacting us. Thank you for your understanding.
Update (20 April 2020): ParcelForce have advised us that they are currently unable to handle products longer than 1.5 metres in length. As such, we have had to temporarily remove from sale all products exceeding this length (such as large shower screen seals). We will, of course, relist these as soon as ParcelForce allow us to do so. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
