• A genuine Bristan part bought to replace the original which was beginning to fail after 13 years of daily use. Fitting was easy and the shower now works perfectly.
  The shower manual suggests regularly servicing the valve. This is easy to do. Unfortunately I'd neglected to do this and consequently getting the old valve out involved dismantling the whole unit. I shall not make this mistake again.

• Looks a very good quality part, its a shame Bristan didn't fit a brass unit from new, the original looks to be made of nylon which could explain why it failed. Works well but as only just fitted, only time will tell!
