    • We have had our Grohe Avensys shower for 7 years and have been very pleased with it. However,recently, once the shower is turned on, the temperature has started to fluctuate between lukewarm and hot without touching the levers. Could you please advise the most likely cause. The control unit Cat No is 47 767 and the wax element 00 798.

      The temperature fault is normally caused by the wax element failing and/or the slider breaking. It is recommended to change both parts 00798 & 07587 to cure the problem

    • My grohe Avensys modern won't heat up much above luke warm.
      I replaced the cartridge but it still won't get warm enough.
      There is hot water getting to the valve but not through it.
      Is it the thermostat behind the cartridge?
      Also you advise where the smaller spring behind the cartridge goes.

      Hello, we suggest you change the 00798 stat & 07587 slider, the spring is the first thing to go into the body as you re assemble, spring first , slider with fins facing you, then stat copper end fits into the fins.

      Hello, cold water only, would require the 07587 slider and possibly the 00798. it is wise to change them both while you have the valve stripped down
