• The Advance is really simple to use and works well (until it doesn't). This purchase replaced an older model that had stopped working after around 4 years of use. I suspect condensation can become an issue eventually as the electrical circuitry doesn't have much in the way of vapour protection. The appearance of the case is different but the fixings (wall screws, electrics, water feed) positioning are the same. This made it very easy to replace. Docked one star because this is a replacement for a similar replacement. It would be better if it lasted longer, and there are probably more durable designs out there, but I didn't want the hassle of rerouting feeds and/or retiling the wall for a different product. A quid a week is going in the pot to fund the next one!

• Very pleased. Works just fine! We could not have a power shower due to position of water tank but this is very acceptable in terms of power and as it is,thermostatic if there is a,drop in pressure simply cuts out so no worries over scalding water !

• Replaced an older Mira Advance model so fitting was almost seemless. A Bottom Fixing Hole now provided bottom-right which was not there on the older model so one extra hole to drill. Distance from Inlet Connector to the lower part of the plastic case is small and assumes all other joints are soldered, compression joint hits the plastic case. As before, Inlet Filter is hard to access with the earth wire and casing getting in the way. Biggest specific issue was with the "1 x Cover Insert" bits of plastic in the Pack Contents which had been squashed, breaking off some of the retaining pins. Not worth returning to Showerspares/Mira but had to attach with adhesive. Not 5 stars because of the installation issues but maybe 5 stars from a users perspective.
  Bottom line is that it looks good and is working well.

• I have always fitted Mira Advance as required for retirement and care properties, the new version that I now use fit the same template as the old, and have some helpful improvements. BEAB care settings inside on switches as opposed to programming during commissioning, easier to use blanking/cut outs for pipe entry and a better commissioning process. I will only Mira as I have fitted approx 75 in the last couple of years and had no problems with any of them
