    • Although the quality of the foam appears to be sound and the dimensions are as expected, there is no obvious method to "stick" this to the chrome cover plate. It seemed most likely that the backing paper was to be peeled away and the seal placed in position with adhesive revealed once the paper was removed. This is not the case.

      Without a picture I cannot tell if this is what I am after. I am after the seal ring, made from a white waterproof foam similar to draft excluder material used in windows & doors, that seals between the white plastic frame of the shower unit and the wall. From memory, the ring is about 8mm wide, 2mm deep, in a ring shape of about 15cm diameter.
      It is for a mira excel shower. There is no model number (ie Excel B) and I do not know the purchase date).
