    • Hi
I gave a Mira event xs thermostatic. Shower makes all the right noises however no water through the hose head. I have read this could be the solenoid. What do you think please?

Hello, yes it is the solenoid valve.

    • My mira event xs manual is dripping I assume it will be the solenoid is this repairable or do I need a new one. Regards Steve

You will require a new soleniod if leaking.

    • Hi. I have a Mira event XS. it has suddenly reduced its flow to the shower head to a dribble. The motor still makes all the right noises and no smoke.
is it possible that the solenoid has failed ?

Hello, it is either the solenoid.
If the shower is thermostatic, it could alos be in thermal shutdown, caused by a loss of flow on either the hot or cold supply to the shower.

    • Hello,
Mira Event xs thermostatic, no more than 18 months old.
When stopped water still trickles from the shower head,,,,but if I shake the hose a couple of times it stops completely.....seems almost as if it is flowing by siphoning or capillary action.
Any idea as to the cause?
      Trevor Goodland

Does appear that the solenoid is not shutting off fully which and is letting the trickle through

    • I have a mira event xs thermostatic power shower. When everything is switched off there is still a constant flow of water coming from the unit through the hose. I have to switch the inlet water supply off to stop it . There is obviously a valvue not closing somewhere and after studying the manual, I can only asume its the solenoid valve. I have checked and there is no leakage from any of the components or joints. Ciuld you please advise if I'm right or that it could be something else.
      Thanks. Trisha McKellar

Hello, yes the solenoid is jammed, you need to replace part number 453.13
